Candice & Mike :: Leesburg Engagement

It was his persistence that paid off, joked Candy as we strolled around Leesburg. Renata had inquired as to how she and Mike got together and the two briefly relayed the story of disinterest, subsequent wooing and then, a date. We love stories where the good guy gets the girl.

We loved exploring Leesburg! Mike & Candy were awesome. This is one of my first shots…what does that tell you?!

We also explored Lightfoot Restaurant, where Mike & Candy will have their reception. So gorgeous!

Carly & Dan :: Baltimore Wedding

I don’t know that there was a dry eye in the house as Carly & Dan took their vows. As Dan tried to get through it, Carly nodded her head in agreement. I stood in the back fogging up my camera viewfinder, trying to hold it together, not daring to look at their parents or Renata. It was a beautiful day.

Carly & Dan got married at the beautiful old building where Dan’s father’s law offices reside. The day was quaint and intimate and it was one of our favorite weddings to date!

We took so many pictures of her around the building; I couldn’t decide which ones were my favorites, so I included a lot more than I usually do.

Laura & Nate :: University of Maryland Engagement

When Laura met us at the parking lot in her cute red dress, we figured she was joking when she said that she and Nate weren’t really picture people. Because she looked fabulous in her killer heels. And with the first click of the shutter, we had decided. Nate & Laura couldn’t be sweeter and they are definitely, definitely picture people.

Since they met at the University of Maryland, Laura & Nate thought it was a great spot to shoot their engagement session – and they were right!

Mary Sarah & Brent :: Wedding

There is just something about couples who have a long history. It must be the stories, or maybe it’s the deep roots or the certain knowing of each other that makes the wedding day sweeter. I’m not sure, but Mary Sarah & Brent were high school sweethearts and their wedding day was certainly sweet.

Randa & Kareim :: Kent Manor Wedding

Both with big families, bigger hearts and a whole lot to celebrate, Randa & Kareim spared no detail for their big day! It was such a fun celebration – lots of people, lots of gorgeous details and lots of love.

Randa & Kareim opted to do First Glance, which we JUST LOVE! First Glance allows the bride and groom to see each other before the ceremony privately; we get great pictures and the day runs so smoothly!

Since they did First Glance, we had extra time to take more pictures around Kent Manor.

8 weddings and some excuses…

Since you can see that our last posted wedding was from May, you can probably assume that we’re a little behind. And you would be right. I’ve got 8 weddings to blog, diapers to change, meetings to attend and somewhere in there, squeeze in time for my husband, the occasional shower and hopefully a meal or two. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my job! But I am not passed letting you know there are legit reasons (ahem, baby, ahem) that I appear to be slacking.

Melissa & Ian :: Emmitsburg Wedding

If someone were to ask us what kind of bride we like best, I might just go ahead and give them Melissa’s picture. She’s the kind of bride that requests more pictures at her engagement session. Who sends me emails saying thanks. Who lays down in her wedding dress with no regard for her perfect updo. Who works it with every click. Sweet, gorgeous, fun…Melissa’s got it all – plus a man who’s eyes sparkle over her like that shiny diamond on her hand.

Melissa & Ian’s day will go down as one of our favorites ever! We are thrilled to have been invited into their day.

Carolyn & Tim :: Baltimore Wedding

As we walked through Baltimore during their engagement session, Carolyn & Tim chatted leisurely with us about their wedding plans, hopes to buy a house and their dog. They took us to Tabrizi’s to show us their reception venue and excitedly showed us the dock where they requested we take wedding pictures. Carefree and sweet, we shot the evening away and, on the way home, Renata and I commented to each other how much we enjoyed them! Their wedding day was more of the same, except this time, Carolyn was in a killer dress.

Brittany & Darryl :: Wedding

It rained on Brittany’s belly the day that we met them by the waterfront for maternity pictures. It rained the day we met sweet Aydin, just a couple months old. It rained in Ellicott City as we looked for nooks to shoot engagement pictures in. We should’ve known what to expect on their wedding!

It’s amazing to me that Brittany & Darryl have let us be a small part of their lives over the past 2 years. More amazing, even, that every time we come around, it rains…apparently. But we are grateful! We have a particular soft spot in our hearts for this family and were honored to document their wedding…even in the rain.

Jessica & Rick :: DC Engagement

We knew we liked Jessica & Rick as soon as they walked into the Cosi’s in Alexandria for our meeting. Over Cosi’s giant (delicious!) hot chocolates, we discussed wedding plans and life. Jessica & Rick waited for warmer weather to schedule their engagement session; we walked around downtown DC and had a great time!
