Even for a blog-stalker like me, visiting a new blog can be overwhelming. It can take a while to familiarize myself with the names and terms used in someone else’s blog. This page is meant to give an overview of people and terms blog readers may not be familiar with in my blog.
What is what?
I shoot two categories of photography: weddings and portraits. I specialize in wedding, engagement and senior photography, but also shoot headshots, families, babies, promotional, or just for fun.
I blog my favorite images from each wedding and session I shoot within a week of shooting them. To see more of my work, visit the galleries on my website.
Slideshows are a way to show some preview images to clients and their friends and family. They typically contain anywhere from 30-100 images. Each slideshow is set to music, has it’s own web address and can be emailed to friends.
First glance is an opportunity for a bride and groom to see each other before their ceremony. I LOVE weddings with first glance built into them. The bride and groom are immediately more relaxed in seeing each other and a lot more time can be taken for great portraits. I did first glance at my wedding and am so glad!
A second shooter is a photographer who assists another photographer with a session or wedding. I second shoot for others, like Maria and Michelle, and also use second shooters at my sessions.
Who is who?
Drew is my sweet husband. He deals with my brattiness, loves me unconditionally and is my number one fan. I think I can say that with good assurance. Drew, please correct me if any of the above is misleading.
Renata is one of my best friends and photography partner. We do a lot of the work in tandem, including initial meetings, shoots and editing. She’s married to Tom and they have two boys, Hayden and Jack.
Emily is a long-time friend and the newest member of the team. She designs all of our albums and books, plus shoots occasionally. She just spent a year living in China.
Maria is my friend, mentor and fellow photographer. She has taught me so much about photography and business. She is the owner of Maria Vicencio Photography and you can read her blog here.
Michelle is the owner of Three Blondes and a Camera and my wedding photographer. She is the reason I became interested in photography. I occasionally second shoot for Michelle and the Blondes and have learned so much from them!
